4.  App Pool Configuration (64 bit servers only)

The CallScripter installation on the web server requires some minor modifications post installer to support the Interactive Intelligence ININ.IceLib.Dialler.dll.

Note:  It is vital that this step be carried out prior to configuring the Post Installation Tasks laid out later in this guide.

The CallScripter website app pool will be configured to match the server native bit version. However the Interactive Intelligence ININ.IceLib.Dialler.dll only supports 32 bit and so on 64 bit servers the CallScripter App Pool bit version will need changing to 32 bit.

To make this change of the App Pool to 32 bit follow the below instructions:

1.     Connect to the CallScripter Web server as a server admin.
2.     Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
3.     Identify the CallScripter Website under “Sites” in the left hand menu tree and select it.
4.     Under “Actions” (right hand pane) select “Basic Settings…”.
5.     Make a note of the “Application pool” that the website uses.
6.     On the Left hand tree menu under “Application Pools” select the one used by CallScripter.
7.     Under “Actions” (left hand menu) select “Advanced Settings” and a new window will pop up.
8.     In the “Advanced Settings” window under the “General” Section is a setting called “Enabled 32-Bit Applications”. Set this to True.
9.     Submit the Advanced Settings window with the “OK” button.
10.  The Application Pool is now running in 32 bit mode and so can communicate with the Interactive Intelligence IceLib4 SDK correctly.
